14-issue lot of Haunted / Baron Weirwulf’s Haunted Library published by Charlton Comics. Includes issues #10, 29, 30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 43, 64, 67 and 69.
Great Bronze Age Charlton horror collection spanning 1973 through 1983, with classic supernatural, monster, ghost and creature covers. The run features work by a number of artists associated with Charlton’s horror line, including Steve Ditko, Tom Sutton, Joe Staton, Don Newton and others.
All books are raw and ungraded. Condition varies throughout the lot. Several of the later-1970s books present quite nicely, while other issues show more noticeable spine wear, color-breaking stresses, edge/corner wear, surface handling and age-related toning. Issue #10 shows heavier overall wear than most of the group, and #37 and #40 also show more visible age/handling wear. Overall this is an attractive mixed-grade reader/collector lot with a number of strong-presenting copies.
