For your consideration, this gently used Laban Abalone Fountain Pen with Chrome Trim and Stainless Steel two tone Med Nib with Iridium Tipping. The iridescence of this New Zealand sourced Abalone is magnificent! The pictures don’t do it justice! The Abalone appears faceted, which only lends more iridescence as you turn the pen in your hand; but the pen is coated with some sort of very durable lacquer finish. I’m not sure what it is, however. It’s not Urushi though, but it is mesmerizing! The pen has substantial heft to it coming in at 60 grams. It’s definitely a full size pen and feels like one. If you like heavier pens, then this is the one for you! It can be posted, but not very deep at all. It doesn’t even cover the endcap. It doesn’t feel secure and tremendously back weights the pen.
