This 15x8 Inch Framed Display contains a 100% GENUINE Deck Chair Artifact from RMS Lusitania. The displays containing the artifact itself are carefully and individually assembled together by hand. The frame includes hooks on the back and is ready to be hung up on the wall to display! The Deck Chair Artifact included in this display is cut DIRECTLY from the larger 5.633 inch section shown accompanying this item in the listing images above. This frame contains the RMS Lusitania Deck Chair Artifact in the center, with two accompanying prints included on either side (Left Side image: Lusitania at Sea | Right Side Image: The Original Deck Chair itself w/ COA).

• Origins and Authenticity | Lusitania Deck Chair Artifact

This artifact included in this display is a cut from a genuine deck chair that was aboard the RMS Lusitania during her sinking on May 7th, 1915. The chair was among the floating debris at the oceans surface following the Lusitania's final plunge. It eventually washed ashore in Cobh, Ireland (known as Queenstown at the time) and was held on public display for decades. After being thoroughly authenticated and restored, It was acquired at sale from Christie’s London office in late 2016 by "Mini Museum LLC." The deck chair was separated into numerous smaller sections, including its seat, legs, back, etc. We were able to purchase the 5.633" section shown in the listing directly from them, eventually having it carefully cut into multiple sections to include in these framed artifact displays!!!

COAs: With purchase, a printed hardcopy of the artifact's original COA and other documentation will be included, as well as one of our own to certify the display in its entirety.
