Moser Glass was founded in 1857, in Karlsbad, Czechoslovakia, by Ludwig Moser. They were known as Ludwig Moser & Sons at the time. They made bohemian glass, cameo glass, scenes on colored glass, intaglio-cut items, vases and much more. Moser became well known for their sparkling cut crystal.

During the first few decades they didn't manufacture any glass but instead engraved and polished blanks from Loetz and other glassworks. By the late 1800's, they built their own factory and were producing glassware for royalty. From the Emperor of Austria, Franz Josef I, to Edward VII and other monarchs and popes.

In the early 1900's, most of the wares produced were clear. In 1909, they began to create colored vases and bowls with detailed gold rims.

In the 1920's, designer Josef Hoffman introduced a new line of vases that had animals and jungle scenes on them. These images stood out from the base color and often were enameled with gold.

Moser Glassworks is still in operation today making crystal barware, animal figurines and more, in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic.
