It is from Northeast Arizona and is WAY nicer in person as it is difficult to get all of the detail and true colors to show up in the photos!
This "rock" was a fallen tree that lived in the Late Triassic period a CRAZY! 237 to 201 million years ago! The sediments containing the fossil logs are part of the widespread and colorful Chinle Formation.
