The mask is finished in deep midnight/navy blue and antique gold with raised ornamental scrollwork. Sections of vintage-styleprinted musical notation / sheet musicdecorate the forehead and other areas of the mask, giving this example a particularly distinctive appearance.

The long gold beak has an intentionally aged finish, while the dramatic eye openings and sculpted contours create the classic mysterious Venetian Plague Doctor appearance.

The reverse is finished in white and retains itsblack ribbon ties, allowing the mask to be worn or displayed.

Condition:
Good pre-owned/displayed condition. There isvery slightchipping/material loss at the very end of the beak, a little of the gold paint, clearly shown in the photographs. There is also some surface wear, small marks and aging to the painted finish. These do not detract significantly from the dramatic appearance when displayed.
