Up for sale is a phenomenal, 100% authentic original pre-prohibition Old Taylor Sour Mash Whiskey advertising label. This is not a modern reproduction, laser copy, or digital reprint. It is a pristine piece of genuine American distilling history, rescued from an unused archive.

The label features striking, bold typography, an elegant diagonal split-design, intricate spiral flourishes, and a beautiful metallic gold-pigmented border.

Forensic & Authentication Details:

UV / Blacklight Tested: This label has been strictly blacklight tested. The paper stock remains completely "dead" under ultraviolet light, absorbing the UV rays rather than fluorescing. This confirms a total absence of modern optical brightening agents (OBAs), proving the paper stock utilizes authentic, period-correct unbleached organic fibers.

True Period Lithography: Features crisp, deep ink work and flat metallic gold detailing characteristic of late 19th-century stone lithography. There are zero modern CMYK digital halftone dot patterns present.

Natural Age & Translucency: The reverse exhibits beautiful, honest edge-toning and oxidation from a century of storage. Heavy press pressure from the original printing run has left a classic faint "ghosting" mirror image of the front design visible on the back.

Condition Notes:

Excellent historical condition. Unused, un-affixed "New Old Stock" (NOS) with sharp corners and clean edges. Minor, completely natural age-related toning/browning on the reverse side.
