An attractive vintage collection specimen of Semicassis bisulcata persimilis, retaining its original old identification label marked “No. 13 — Semicassis persimilis.”
This 47.66 mm specimen displays a strongly inflated form with a pale cream ground color, orderly rows of soft tan rectangular markings, fine spiral sculpture, and subtle pink to mauve coloration around the upper whorls. The broad reflected outer lip, pronounced aperture dentition, and recurved siphonal structure are especially well preserved and give the shell excellent character from multiple viewing angles.
Measurements: 47.66 mm L × 31.35 mm W × 26.89 mm H
Weight: 7.0 g
The shell comes from an older collection and includes the original identification label shown in the photographs. No locality information accompanied the specimen, so no collection locality is being attributed to it.
The specimen is in very good overall condition with no obvious chips or major damage observed. Minor surface marks and small traces of old debris are present in some recessed areas, consistent with an older collection specimen. Please review the detailed photographs for the exact condition and appearance.
