Authentic Steinbach “Noah and the Ark” nutcracker handcrafted in Germany and part of the highly collectible Steinbach Biblical Series. This beautifully detailed 17-inch wooden nutcracker represents Noah holding the Ark filled with animals including elephants, giraffes, lions, pigs, and other creatures, with sheep carried in a side pouch and a dove perched on his staff.

This figure is model S893 and is the first nutcracker released in the Steinbach Biblical Series, making it a desirable collectible among Steinbach collectors, German nutcracker collectors, and Christmas folk art enthusiasts.

This piece is hand-signed by Christian Steinbach, a fifth-generation member of the Steinbach family, and is part of a limited edition of only 10,000 pieces worldwide. The example offered here is numbered #3174 of 10,000.

This vintage Steinbach nutcracker was handmade in Germany using traditional Erzgebirge woodworking techniques. It features hand-carved wood construction, hand-painted details, and fabric clothing typical of Steinbach’s handcrafted German folk art nutcrackers. The nutcracker stands approximately 17 inches tall and is model S893, distributed in the United States by Kurt S. Adler, Inc. New York.

The piece includes the original Steinbach hang tag and the original Steinbach box, making it an excellent collectible display piece for Steinbach collectors or collectors of German handmade nutcrackers.

Condition is very good overall for a vintage collectible nutcracker. The wing of the dove on the staff was previously chipped and carefully glued back into place.
