This is an incredibly rare and unique piece of TITANIC movie memorabilia. Created by Paramount Pictures in early 1997 for the then summer blockbuster release. But it never came out in July! The delay only added to the hype and dread of that expensive film.

TITANIC by James Cameron was originally planned to be released in July 1997, but its release was delayed to December of that year.

This is NOT A MINIATURE. This is a life-sized life preserver ring - about 21” wide and 4” thick. It is hefty and feels like the real thing.

The delay of the release of the film was due to the extensive post-production work needed to complete the film\'s groundbreaking special effects and overall production quality.

James Cameron and his team required additional time to perfect the visual effects and editing to meet their high standards. The decision to move the release to December also positioned the film better for awards season, which ultimately contributed to its success at the box office and during the awards circuit.
