Warning: FLYING IS PROHIBITED OVER GERMAN SOVIET ZONE EXCEPT IN COMPULSORY come and go, some are easier to find than others, some are better than other, some tell a story of a part of history that is now gone. Historical Military Maps are exceptional in that they tell of times of conflict, occupation, oppression and struggles for freedom. 1960's Europe is one of the most interesting periods of our modern history. Many say that conflicts seen in Europe in the 1960's are starting to raise their heads once again.
Maps come and go. This map is one for the serious collector or for Museum Curators of Rare Maps, Historical and Military Documents.
The location, the wide spread of geographically interesting places, capital Cities, the political situation at the time. This is a 'One Off Piece', I have never managed to locate before (They were not freely available), nor have I seen one in a collection anywhere. This is a seriously lucky find, located off the path well worn.
One Only Available.
As an aside, I appreciate that the size of the Chart makes it difficult to ascertain the exact areas. So, the easiest way is to get your Europe atlas or Map and draw points surrounding the chart;
Most Westerly Point - GRONAU
Most Northerly Point - ARHUS
Most Easterly Point - PILA
Most Southerly Point - MAGDEBURG
Thanks for viewing, I hope you enjoy.
