Unused vintage Ukrainian Hutsul folk art smoking pipe, measuring approximately 13 inches in length.
Hand-carved from wood with the classic elegant Hutsul bent shape and fitted with the traditional hinged metal wind cap/lid (with air holes) over the bowl. The pipe is richly decorated in authentic Western Ukrainian (Carpathian) style with pokerwork (pyrography) circles and geometric patterns, plus colorful polished stone or glass inlays in red, blue, green, and white that catch the light beautifully. The stem is finished with a metal band and the mouthpiece is carved to a comfortable taper.
This piece is in pristine, never-used condition – no tobacco residue, no charring, no odors. It appears to have been made as a decorative or ceremonial object rather than for daily smoking, which is common with finer Hutsul pipes from the mid-20th century.
A striking example of traditional Hutsul craftsmanship from the Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine (likely 1950s–1970s). Perfect for collectors of folk art, tobacco pipes, Ukrainian antiques, or ethnographic items.
