VTG Schmid Pierrot Love Mime Musical Figurine “Younger Than Spring Times” 1981 For Sale

This beautiful Schmid Pierrot Love Mime musical figurine plays “Younger Than Spring Times”. Issued in 1981, it features a Pierrot/Mime holding a butterfly. Sitting in a basket of flowers on the floor is a beautiful white cat watching intently. As the music plays the butterfly, which issuspended on a wire, appearsto be fluttering up and down and when the music stops it settles back down into the mime’s hands.

The figurine measures 6” tall X 4 3/4” long X 3 1/2” wide.The bottom of the figurine has a small board with the label stating the name of the song “Younger Than Spring Times”, the name Michel Oks (perhaps the designer) and the date.

The figurine has been well cared for and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. On the back top edge is a tiny pinpoint hole (perhaps a bubble pop) from the firing process but this does not distract visually or functionally. The music box works great and the butterfly moves perfectly. The windup key and the ratchet lever are both in very good working condition.
