Vintage Lederle Laboratories Accogel Pharmaceutical Advertising Postcard For Sale

The color photograph shows a laboratory or manufacturing worker operating the specialized machinery used to produce one-piece soft-shell capsules.

The reverse provides unusually detailed technical information, stating that the Accogel Encapsulation Machine was the first in the pharmaceutical industry capable of filling one-piece soft-shell capsules with powder, liquid or paste, and that it took Lederle personnel seven years to develop. It explains that gelatin enters in two ribbons, combines with the filling and emerges as a completed capsule.
