This highly collectible piece features an exceptionally detailed, hand-painted depiction of the legendary Russian epic bogatyr (hero) Ilya Muromets confronting the mythical Nightingale the Robber />

The scene is beautifully rendered in the traditional Kholuy style, featuring dynamic movement, vivid tempera colors, and exquisite, finely brushed gold filigree ornamentation framing the border and accentuating the central artwork.
