Vintage TYCOS Thermometer 80-400°F Grandal Petite Co New York w/ Wood Case For Sale

Offered is an unusual vintage TYCOS high-temperature thermometer marked:
TYCOS
THE GRANDAL PETITE CO.
NEW YORK
The thermometer has an approximately 80°F–400°F temperature scale and features an attractive copper/brass-colored metal housing with hanging ring and rear clip.
It also includes its fitted wooden storage/protective case with removable wooden cover, as shown in the photographs.
This is an unusual vintage instrument. I have been unable to locate another example with the exact “The Grandal Petite Co. New York” marking, so please use the photographs as the primary reference for identification.
CONDITION:
Very good vintage condition for its apparent age. The glass thermometer tube appears intact. Scale numbers and engraved markings remain clear and readable. Metal surfaces have original age-related patina, discoloration, scratches and wear.
The wooden storage case shows age, scratches, staining and general storage wear.
IMPORTANT: The thermometer has not been tested or professionally calibrated for temperature accuracy and is being sold primarily as a vintage collectible/instrument.
The metal has NOT been polished or restored. Original patina has been left intact.
