Large Vintage Zell German Blue Cobalt 2 1/2 Liter Beer Stein, great condition. No chips or cracks, the Pewter lid is in great condition. Measures: 16 inches H and the base is 5.75 inches width.Intricate raised relief panels depicting humorous/tavern folk scenes, including a Taschenspieler (conjurer or sleight-of-hand magician performing tricks). Inscriptions reference Munich brewing (“Münchenbräu aus München”), drinking humor (“Mussst du den Magen... Doktor macht...”), and cheerful sayings like variations on keeping the heart merry (“... durch dein Herz nicht rosten” / “Bei Spiel und Scherz bleibt froh das Herz”).
