They can become consecrated physical vessels for spiritual entities, used exclusively within the medicine societies (kiva groups)

and priesthoods of the Zuni Pueblo

An exquisite, authentic Native American Zuni Altar fetish carving by a traditional Zuni Pueblo Artisan.

The figure holds a beautifully sculpted bundle of shimmering yellow mother-of-pearl shell adorned with blue turquoise nuggets and a red coral center drop.

The eyes are perfectly inlaid with matching turquoise.

This stunning contemporary piece is beautifully hand-sculpted from natural elk/deer antler, brilliantly utilizing the material's organic vertical grain and rich color variations to form the maiden's flowing hair and garments.
