For sale is one beautiful, very well maintained straw marquetry case handmade by Napoleonic prisoner of war.

These delicately designed small cases measuring approximately 4” l x 2” “ w are not only pieces of history but a rare and delicate art form.

This piece probably served as a cigarette case but can been used to store small treasures or simply put on display for its own beauty.

Many of these pieces are quite worn. This one is in remarkably good condition with one small piece of straw on the top lid missing.
