One original drum headwood peg lacking with another next to it missing its outer head along with handling and use from its 150+ years.

Construction similar to the plains Indian (Dakota) hand drums using the same wood pegs to hold the drum head.

Notches around lower rim.

Metal cymbals are the typeused onplains Indian (Chippewa) tambourine/hand drums.

Held together without nails, using tree bark.

Frame shows crude stone tool marks.

Frame is somewhat oval.

Deep dark patina throughout.

Wear on all the edges.

Horse hair braided string attached.
