Rare Abraham Lincoln Life Mask Made from Mold of Original Bronze From 1860. For Sale

Offered is a rare edition of the life mask of Abraham Lincoln created by Leonard Volk. This specific copy was created with a mold that was taken from one of the original bronze castings from 1860.

It is estimated there are between 5 to 7 originals Volk created in 1860, most of which are housed in museums. Accompanying the casting are copies of provenance that accompanied the rare original bronze and photos of the mold the mask was cast from. The original bronze was authenticated by Lloyd Ostendorf, a famed expert of Lincoln photographs and a large collector of Lincolniana.
